What is The Role

\n

The Finance team is seeking a General Ledger Accountant as part of our growth. This person will perform the day-to-day ledger entries with the guidance of the Accounting Manager.

What You Will Be Doing

\n
    \n
  • You will help to streamline processes and improve existing procedures as Elastic dynamically grows and as the accounting team proactively plans ahead.
  • \n
  • You will review accounts and prepare supporting schedules for the monthly close.
  • \n
  • In addition, you will Perform corporate month-end close activities including journal entry preparation and account reconciliations related to AR and bad debt reserve.
  • \n
  • Responsible for oversight of all intercompany transactions, including AR Billings and settlements, as well as reconciling the completeness and accuracy of the Intercompany accounts
  • \n
  • Maintain and communicate accurate foreign exchange rates in accounting systems to support accurate consolidation and valuation in addition to preparing CTA validation and FX impact schedule
  • \n
  • Be the point of contact for all intercompany and consolidation accounting processes and related issues (intercompany sales, invoice settlements, transfer pricing, etc.)
  • \n
  • Assist with preparing subsidiary and consolidated financial statements and related supporting schedules for compliance with relevant accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS)
  • \n
  • Produce ad-hoc reports, analysis, and special projects Assist with audit by providing supporting documents and answering procedural questions for auditors

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (mandatory)4-6 years of professional, relevant experience

  • Experience with ERP system(mandatory)Intermediate Excel skills, (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, etc.)

  • Experience with Sarbanes- Oxley compliance and internal controls Team oriented personality
  • \n
  • Experience with foreign currency and multiple international subsidiaries EMEA, APAC, NA.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • \n
  • Strong attention-to-detail, Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Positivity!
