Elastic, the Search AI Company, enables everyone to find the answers they need in real time, using all their data, at scale — unleashing the potential of businesses and people. The Elastic Search AI Platform, used by more than 50% of the Fortune 500, brings together the precision of search and the intelligence of AI to enable everyone to accelerate the results that matter. By taking advantage of all structured and unstructured data — securing and protecting private information more effectively — Elastic’s complete, cloud-based solutions for search, security, and observability help organizations deliver on the promise of AI.

What Is The Role

\n

The Ingest team at Elastic is responsible for some of the most popular open source data collection tools in the world. Used for Cloud-native Observability and Enterprise Security use-cases, our products collect and ingest data easily, efficiently, and quickly. Learn more about them on our website here or even better by testing the data ingestion user experience yourself on Elastic Cloud. We are responsible for OpenTelemetry Collector, Integrations platform as a marketplace like experience to discover and build third party integrations to bring data into elastic stack, and data transformation and processing tooling of our cloud pipelines.

\n

The Cloud Pipeline Product Manager drives the user experience and tooling for data collection, data transformation, enrichment and data routing. The two personas that we closely work with, are Cloud-native Observability and Security users. Cloud-native Observability customers want real-time data about their Serverless, Kubernetes, and CSP-Specific services. Security users want to know where they are vulnerable, when an intrusion happened, and how to stop it. In addition to our own data pipeline products, we also need to ensure that we integrate with industry relevant data pipeline solutions such as confluent kafka, cribl etc. As a product manager, you will be responsible for driving product strategy coherency and execution and help increase adoption of data pipeline products across these two user segments.

\n

What You Will Be Doing

\n
    \n
  • Define the vision and roadmap for Data Plane products at Elastic including significant parts of OpenTelemetry, Logstash, Beats, and Elastic Agent, including data collection and enrichment.
  • \n
  • Define the vision and roadmap for our SaaS offerings around Ingest products including cloud pipelines, hosted collectors and more.
  • \n
  • Partner with the engineering and technical leads to prioritize the roadmap and estimate realistic delivery timelines.
  • \n
  • Work with downstream solution teams at Elastic to discover, align and prioritize their needs: understanding their use cases, timing requirements and helping think through phased approaches.
  • \n
  • Work with our Sales & Marketing teams on go-to-market, messaging, competitive analysis, and enablement.
  • \n
  • Interface with customers and the community for feedback feedback and usage information to develop product insights.
  • \n
  • Capture market competitive and trend data and inform product direction.
  • \n
\n

What You Bring

\n
    \n
  • History of leading data products working on deeply technical products that have been through a comparable growth-stage.
  • \n
  • Strong technical background, preferably in related domains such as edge data collection; ETL for observability or security data, and must have the ability to discuss technical concepts in detail.
  • \n
  • A person who can drive strategy and execute alongside their team to deliver the needs of the customer first.
  • \n
  • High EQ: bring technical expertise and kindness to the team, and someone who can help scale Elastic to the next level.
  • \n
  • A low-ego and open-minded driver of business who cares deeply about their people. A natural problem solver.
  • \n
  • Experience leading product management for multiple product lines. Can point to clear articulation of ownership and decision making across the product team and broader organization to drive business outcomes.
  • \n
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams and client/user base.
  • \n

\nWhy are you being asked to complete this form?\n

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. \n

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
