Product Manager - Checkout APIs - Amsterdam In building the most customer-focused financial technology platform, Adyen offers our merchants various checkout integrations and experiences that enable the most flexible and reliable shopper experience when it comes to payments. Checkout APIs are the gateway and key enabler to the success of all Adyen payments products. A core part of our Adyen Uplift payments optimization suite, Checkout is now at heart of payment optimization where we leverage our data and machine learning models to personalize checkout experiences and optimize payments performance helping our merchants maximize conversion while balancing fraud and costs. We are looking for an experienced Product Manager to lead our Checkout APIs as part of our Adyen Uplift suite. Your role is to define and build API products (Hosted Checkouts, Advanced Direct Integration APIs, Hosted Checkout Components) that deliver the best, most reliable, easy-to-integrate and flexible checkout APIs. You are also responsible for defining and implementing the strategy and north star metrics and insights that we use to evaluate the product success and to develop the product roadmaps. This role is a special opportunity for someone who enjoys operating at multiple levels of a business and with a wide range of cross-functional teams and stakeholders and with a passion for building API products that balance flexibility and customization with simplicity and reliability What you will do - You will be responsible for building our Checkout APIs across multiple integration types and channels and enabling all cards and payment methods checkout experiences - You will be responsible for defining our APIs architecture and versioning strategy - You will be responsible for how Adyen measures and represents the value of its checkout products towards merchants - You will be responsible for the discovery, building, and delivery of new checkout experiences aligned with product roadmaps from different Adyen teams - You will collaborate with partner teams to build APIs that power our embedded checkout experiences, checkout personalization features and payment methods growth - You will be an evangelist of our Checkout API products and their impact, to colleagues, customers, and partners. - You will set a high bar in API architecture and development - You will work collaboratively with other product managers, engineers, analytics teams, account managers, sales and Marketing teams, and our customers. Who you are - You have conceived of and launched successful API products at scale with quantifiable value to large enterprise customers (5+ years in product management); - You have experience in one or more of the following: PCI DSS, Product Health Metrics and SLOs, API versioning and lifecycle management - You have experience in the world of ecommerce, payments, fintech; - You can guide an engineering team with the right questions to answer, turn those answers into business value, and leverage analytics to drive product decisions; - You can take complex technical products and simplify them into intuitive and valuable user experiences - You have excellent organizational and communication skills and know how to manage a project from conception to maturity; - You can successfully operate in a global organization working with teams across different offices and timezones; - You are a quick learner and take a ‘launch fast and iterate’ approach to tackling problems; - You take pride in putting your team first, you value teams over ego; - You can ensure the quality of internal and external documentation - You are skilled in managing cross-team dependencies to ensure project progression - You can work closely with data teams to extract valuable product insights Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion commitments Our unique approach is a product of our diverse perspectives.
